Deutz Air Cooled Diesel Engine Problems

I used to rebuild deutz engines very very well designed easy to work on engines.

If the engine overheats at normal rpm and low load i would guess the cause is friction. But they do have gearbox issues and getting parts can be a pain. All alluminum engines except for the cast iron block. Onze deutz dl1300 loader rookt erg en loopt nie.

Anybody have any ideas. They have individual cylinders and heads so if something goes wrong with one you dont have to pull all the heads. 2 the engine is producing more power than design. The engine is still doing the same thing and i noticed we had oil in the intake side of the turbo what could be.

Problem with deutz diesel fl413 frw 6 cylinder air cooled motor. There are two things that will overheat air cooled engine. Deutz oil cooled engine problems. Our deutz dl1300 loader smokes a lot and doesn t run on all 6 cylinders.

Oil leaking from engine breather pipe when engine is turned off after running what can be done to rectify this problem. Pull and work well above their stated horse power. 1 friction due to lubrication issue. The older ones with the air cooled engines were one heck of a tractor.

Hit the start button and it fires right back up then dies after about 20 sec. Fuel is full battery and alternator good. Minimum fuel idle maximum rpm and maximum fuel max power. I have a deutz 4 cylinder air cooled diesel with a blue smoke problem.

Very very well designed. There are several limits set in the injection pump. Overheating isnt a problem either as long as you have airflow the cylinders will score before the heads have a problem. I have a lincoln commander 500 with a deutz diesel model f3l912 that will start just fine and run for 20 seconds then shut itself off.
